Under the leadership of MÁV-REC Ltd a consortium called Záhony Logistics and Industrial Zone was formed on the 23th of June 2020. The other member of this consortium is Záhony Port Ltd. prepare for the implementation of an innovative logistics, rail and freight hub which is also strategically important in Europe, through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) supported by as part of the project, technological and industrial development investments will be prepared, the implementation of which will have a significant impact on rail freight traffic between the EU and China and on Hungarian-Chinese economic cooperation.
